enLIGHTen was a project i wanted to do for a long time. This project is about Taipei, Taiwan and the people that came from many countries to live there. Some came for a short period and went back to their country, some came and stayed. Taipei is no doubt a unique place -  mainly because of the good natured people here that seem to be "untainted" by the visitors to this island,  and also because of the lights that you can see in every corner. From the Betel-nut Kiosks to the bridges and LED covered buildings, the light is everywhere,  so you can understand why I wanted to capture this light but I always felt something was missing and that was the people. I wanted to show Taipei but from a visitor's point of view.

This was the starting point to a great experience, in which I met Kimora Lee - a talented hair and makeup artist, and Le Di Je - a fashion designer and together we took the 30 pictures in this project. Each location is a different spot in Taipei, each picture is meant to express a feeling of the phases in adjusting to a new country. The lights in the pictures are real, and were made with LED ropes (made in taiwan).

This project was a great experience, I would like to thank all the wonderful people that took part in it. The Project was shot in Taipei on May 2013.
